What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in time is 3:00 p.m.  Check-out time is 12:00 p.m.

 

Is There On-Site Parking?

Hotel Keen does not have on-site parking. However, there is a city parking lot adjacent to the hotel that allows parking, with some restrictions. Parking passes can be purchased at the front desk for $15 per day. Parking is free evenings, Monday to Friday from 5 PM to 8 AM, and all-day Saturday and Sunday. Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM there is a 2-hour parking limit unless a permit is purchased. For questions, please email the front desk at info@hotelkeen.com.

 

Does Hotel Keen Have Bicycles?

Yes - Hotel Keen offers complimentary bicycles for guests to use. Please inquire at the front desk to check out a bicycle. 

 

Does Hotel Keen Have Mobile Key?

Yes - Hotel Keen has Mobile Key, which allows hotel guests to use their mobile device or smartphone as a key to access their guest room. 

 

Does Hotel Keen have meeting space?

Hotel Keen does not have meeting space on-site. We do have co-working areas located in our lobby; however, if you need a private meeting space, there are multiple options nearby. WeWork Palo Alto, Regus Coworking in Palo Alto and VC Nest are all just a few minutes away. 

 

Does my reservation include breakfast?

Yes! All guests of Hotel Keen are welcome to partake in our lobby breakfast offerings Monday through Friday from 6 AM to 9 AM and Saturday and Sunday from 7 AM to 10 AM. Breakfast items include fresh smoothies, local pastries, and Nespresso coffee, as well as hot items mid-week such as eggs and potatoes.  

 

Is there a restaurant on-site?

Outside of daily breakfast, Hotel Keen does not have an onsite restaurant. However, we are located steps from University Avenue with more than two dozen options for food, beverages, gathering, and entertainment. Please see the front desk for recommendations and directions.

 

Does Hotel Keen have a gym?

Hotel Keen does not currently have gym facilities; however, we do offer an in-room ‘Fit Kit’ for guests to use at their leisure. These are compliments of the hotel and include items such as a thick yoga mat, push-up bar, ab wheel, stretch bands, and more. We also include a sanitizing packet for your comfort and safety. Additionally, there is a 24/7 fitness center at our sister property, Hotel Lucent, located at 727 El Camino Real in Menlo Park. Additional gyms and fitness facilities are within a short walk or drive. Johnson Park is just an 8-minute walk from the hotel, located at 268 Waverley Street. Does Hotel Keen allow smoking?

Hotel Keen is a 100% non-smoking hotel. Any guests choosing to violate this policy will automatically be billed a minimum of $250 upon check-out. Without exception.

 

Do rooms have mini-refrigerators or microwaves?

At Hotel Keen we do not offer microwaves or mini refrigerators in the room. However, in the event of urgent need, we have a full-service kitchen with a refrigerator and microwave and can accommodate requests for use. Please see the front desk.

 

Is Hotel Keen pet-friendly?

Yes, we will allow one dog per room, up to 25 lbs. maximum with the payment of a $75 per night pet fee. We assign pet rooms to the first floor of the hotel for ease of entry and to reduce guest disturbance. We also offer an upgraded Dog Package, that includes a dog bed, water/food bowl, and dog treats at check-in. Additionally, we sell dog-friendly amenities in our Lobby Market. Are laundry services available?

Yes, Hotel Keen provides laundry services. Please see the front desk to assist you with your laundry or dry cleaning needs.

 

Do you have an early departure fee?

If your reservation was not booked with a non-refundable cancellation policy, we require at least 24 hours advance notice of your intent to depart early. If we do not receive notice, then you will be billed for the night(s) in question. 

 

I booked my room on a different website than Hotel Keen and I need to change my reservation. What should I do?

Unfortunately, you will need to contact the site where you made your reservation. Next time, be sure to book with us directly and we will be happy to help you with any changes in plans.  

 

I am traveling without a car. How do I get to Hotel Keen from SFO/SJC?

Rideshare or Taxi is available from each airport and the Palo Alto Caltrain station is just one block from Hotel Keen.  For schedules, prices, and details about the Caltrain system please visit www.caltrain.com. 

 

Is Hotel Keen Near Stanford University?

Yes - Hotel Keen is just 0.3 miles from Stanford University in Palo Alto. Guests can walk to campus or use our complimentary bicycles for an easy ride. The drive is approximately 2 minutes. 

 

Is Hotel Keen Near Stanford Hospital?

Yes - Hotel Keen is just 1.8 miles from Stanford Hospital in Palo Alto, one of the leading hospitals in the country. The drive is approximately 10 minutes, depending on traffic. 

 

Is Hotel Keen Near Googleplex / Google Headquarters?

Yes - Hotel Keen is just 5.7 miles from Googleplex, the corporate headquarters of Google and its parent company. The drive is approximately 20 minutes, depending on traffic. 

 

Is Hotel Keen Near Meta Campus?

Yes - Hotel Keen is just 3.7 miles from Meta Headquarters, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram. The drive is approximately 20 minutes, depending on traffic.

 

Is Hotel Keen Near the Amazon Corporate Office?

Yes - Hotel Keen is just 2.1 miles from the Amazon offices in East Palo Alto. The drive is approximately 12 minutes, depending on traffic. There is also the A9 Amazon Building just 0.1 miles from the hotel.

 

Is There a Shuttle Service Nearby?

Yes - guests can access Stanford's free Marguerite shuttle on campus. It serves as a first mile and last-mile connector for passengers between the Palo Alto Transit Center and various locations/work sites on the Stanford campus. Additionally, Commute.org and Marguerite shuttles connect the Redwood City Transit Center to the Stanford Redwood City campus. The main shuttle lines travel around the campus Monday - Friday (except for University holidays). The Shopping Express route also operates Friday - Sunday, connecting riders to off-campus stores and restaurants. All Marguerite buses are wheelchair accessible and equipped with a bike rack.
